OFFSHORE PASSENGER TRANSFER SYSTEM
OFFSHORE PASSENGER TRANSFER SYSTEM, mostly referred to as “OPTS” is an offshore transfer system that can transfer a limited number of people from one position to another, either from a limited position to a mobile one or the other way around. It’s a totally new way of transfer and no other offshore equipment with the same concept has been made for such application.
OPTS is a safe, simple, self-controlled system that can make the transfer of people not by a bridge or walk to work gangway, but by a platform basket fully compensated and controlled by an operator, as it would be for a land base installation.
OPTS gives the users a handsome tool to access wind turbine platforms, Oil & Gas platforms, sea-going vessels or offshore and marine structures.
OPTS has the ability to move freely 360 degrees with an outreach of 24 meters and more than 20 meter in height above deck to minus 6 meter below deck.
The system is designed as a standard piece of equipment to be used on every support or supply vessel in the offshore and wind industries. With an arm length of 9.0 meter and a footprint of 8 by 40 feet (2440 x12100), OPTS can easily be locked to the deck.
OPTS can be used for rescue purposes and can even be used for light lifting operations at 2 tons with or without heave or motion compensation
